(22 Sept. 2024) Session 1: What is self-esteem? – Building a Good Foundation.
We begin this course by first looking at what self-esteem means and looks like, and how it becomes shaped by life-experiences. Through a creative process of group forming, a mutually agreed safe working space will become established.
(27 Oct 2024) Session 2: Building my self-esteem – How I relate to myself.
Using humanistic theories, we will explore self-esteem levels through held values, feelings, levels of respect and behaviours. The concept of an inner-critic and its influence will be explored, alongside how we can begin to change this by developing an internal supportive ally.
(24 Nov 2024) Session 3: Building my self-esteem – Imposter Syndrome
This session will focus on ‘imposter syndrome’: its origins, impact (both personal and professional) and usefulness in participants’ lives. We’ll explore how using the imposter syndrome’s messages can be constructively used as catalysts for personal growth.
