My working model:

I am a relational-based psychotherapist, where I help to facilitate a client’s increase in their self-awareness, understanding and choices.

Based on Humanistic principles and practice, coupled with my Master’s training in Jungian depth psychology, attachment theory, neuroscience and the mind-body connection.

As an integrative practitioner, I also draw upon CBT and Transactional Analysis when appropriate.

Much of my work uses Karpman’s Drama Triangle to help clients step away from dysfunctional relationships and into healthier, clearer adult ones.

I also integrate my yoga-mindfulness teaching experience.(www.praxis-yoga.com).

My specialism:

Working with clients experiencing:

  • Mid-life difficulties when facing major changes and transitions in their personal or work lives (e.g. loss of role, or health; adjusting to success, or public exposure; the consequences of menopause, etc).
  • Trauma: early-life, abuse and developmental
  • Difficult early-life relationship with mother and impact on adult life
  • Spiritual disconnection: Loss of meaning in life
  • End of life – finding meaning/preparing for ending
  • Working with cross cultural issues – internal tensions and conflicts whilst living in 2 cultures

My principal research activity:

Focuses on menopause, its whole-body effects, life-style impacts, including detrimental career outcomes; and developing new, healthier and more positive ways of responding to this inescapable change as an opportunity to grow and embody wisdom.
